Feit Physiotherapy is a physiotherapy clinic serving Cape Breton with our two locations in Sydney and Sydney River, delivering care in physiotherapy, massage therapy, & occupational therapy. 

Feit Physiotherapy is a locally owned clinic that takes a multi-interdisciplinary approach to wellness. Our highly trained staff strives to provide the highest standard of care to help patients recover and restore their optimal quality of life and health. We base our services on the gold standards of industry care, always maintaining the highest level of professionalism in our service to the residents of Cape Breton Island.

Our People

Aaron Feit

Owner & Operator

Member of: Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists

Aaron graduated from Dalhousie University in 1997 with a BSc, Advanced Major in Biology. Following this, he attended Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, Scotland completing a BSc in Physiotherapy in 2002. 

Aaron spent 3 years working as a Physiotherapist in Edinburgh before returning home to work in Cape Breton in 2006. He opened Feit Physiotherapy in 2013.

As well as offering traditional physiotherapy services, the clinic has quickly expanded on several fronts to include a host of occupational rehabilitation, children’s and women’s health, nutritional, and occupational therapy services.

Kieran McKinnon


 Kieran graduated with a BSc in Kinesiology from Acadia University in 2014, from there he moved to Edinburgh, Scotland to study MSc in Physiotherapy from Queen Margaret University which he completed in 2017. As well as treating MSK injuries, Kieran is trained in vestibular assessments and treatment specializing in concussion management. He is also trained dry needling offering his patient many options with treatment.

Marli McInnis


Marli was born and raised in Georges River, Nova Scotia. She graduated from Cape Breton University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Community Studies in Sport and Physical Activity Leasdership, she then completed her MSc in Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland. She is trained in assessment and treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions and has received an additional certification in sport taping. Marli is working as a physiotherapy resident at Lifemark North Sydney. She is known for her kind personality and client specific treatments.

Roger Morrison


Roger graduated from The University College of Cape Breton in 1999 with a bachelor of science in biology. From there he attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic college where he received his Doctorate in Chiropractic in 2005. Roger has years of experience in assessing and treating MSK injuries, vestibular management as well as acupuncture. He has experience rehabilitating patients with workplace injuries, motor vehicle injuries, sports injuries and many more. Member of the NS college of chiropractors. 

Dr. Tanya Hardy


Dr. Tanya Hardy was born and raised in North Sydney, and it was her strong family connection that brought her back home in 2004.

She began her education at St. FX university with a bachelor of science in Biology with a joint minor in math and chemistry. She then attended the Southern California University of Health Sciences where she received a Doctorate of Chiropractic, with the Herbert Magee Jr. award for outstanding achievement in technique.

She returned to Cape Breton with the desire to provide patients with the absolute best care for their healthcare concerns. She uses a variety of methods to achieve this goal, including diversified chiropractic, sacro-occipital, and soft tissue techniques.

In her spare time Tanya enjoys both watching and playing sports, gardening, raising monarch butterflies and spending time with her husband Chad, their fur babies and her friends and family.

Jaclyn Macleod

MSc., OT Reg. (NS), Clinic Director Occupational Therapist

Jaclyn graduated with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Dalhousie University in 2013 after completing a biology/psychology degree at St. Mary’s University in 2011. She has completed training in Workwell Functional Capacity Evaluations, ergonomics, Cancer C.A.R.E, Cognitive Demands Analysis, Cognitive Abilities Evaluations, Mental Health First Aid, Motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, IMPACT training, Vestibular therapy, concussion therapy, a concussion management workshop, IMPACT visual therapy and Neuro Visual Postural Therapy levels 1-3. Bhreagh MacKinnon

Occupational Therapist

Bhreagh graduated from STFX University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in 2017. She then furthered her education in Glasgow, Scotland and received her MSc in Occupational Therapy from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2020. Bhreagh started working at Feit Physiotherapy in January 2020 and began working as an OT for us in July 2021. She has training in many areas such as: ergonomic assessments, PGAP, Handwriting without Tears, Cognitive Abilities Evaluations, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Bhreagh creates an open and friendly atmosphere both in the clinic and with her clients.

Ryan Pero

Registered Massage Therapist

Member of: Massage Therapy Association of Nova Scotia

Ryan is a graduate of Sutherland-Chan Massage Therapy School and Teaching Clinic (Toronto, ON, Canada) since 2004. Ryan relocated to Sydney, NS in 2007. During this time, he has continued to build a strong rapport with his clients. 

He has been trained in the assessment and treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions ranging from chronic headaches and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction to plantar fasciitis, and a number of other soft tissue and sports-related injuries. Ryan also carries specific training in myofascial release and trigger point therapy, as well as pregnancy massage and nutritional studies/applications.

Laura Kimble

Massage Therapist

Laura Kimble is a member of Massage Therapy Association of Nova Scotia, who achieved an Advanced Diploma of Massage Therapy in 2019 from Algonquin College in Ontario. After relocating to Nova Scotia in 2022, Laura has been providing Massage therapy services on Cape Breton Island. Laura’s goal as your Massage Therapist is to create a treatment plan that will work best for you and your lifestyle. She uses a variety of techniques ranging from the classical Swedish Massage, Myofascial release, Trigger point therapy, Lymphatic drainage, and many more. Laura enjoys her profession and looks forward to continued training and expanding her skills to meet the needs of her clients When Laura isn’t working, she enjoys being outdoors with her fiancé and their adventure dog, Gus.

Erica Verschuren

Office Administrator

Originally from Sussex, NB, Erica moved to North Sydney in 2010 and joined our team in 2011. Erica assists with keeping our clinic running smoothly. More than just a friendly and helpful voice on the phone, Erica does everything from keeping our schedules in order and our clinic organized, to managing insurance claims and billing.
